This evening I came home and my wife told me that I had to see these pics. Apparently this afternoon the dogs were going nuts and as she looked outside to see what they wanted she saw an iguana in the pool. This is not unusual but then she saw something was different.

She took the pics from the safety of our bedroom window since she wont even go outside whenever she sees a normal iguana.

Weird @$$ world.

Godzilla lives! Two things come to mind...that's one funky Iguana and one nice pool!

Man I bet that thing swims like a permit with that forked tail - built for speed for sure.

Very cool Tile! Oh and the Iguana is cool too! Wait a minute! I just noticed the Iguana has two tails! Yikes!

Iguana's are great pets. I had one that grew to almost 5 feet (tip to tip).
They can be pretty defensive with that tail.

I'm guessing he's retired. Look for one of those fruity drinks with the little umbrella after a nice little swim. :laughing7:

We used to catch lizards in south Florida back in the 70s. Today's kids are catching dinosaurs.

Bet that'll hurt twice as much when it whip's you! That's a first.

Iguana's breeding with Sting Rays...

Film at 11.

Just guessing here:

1. Some lizards can shed their tails when captured, then grow new ones. Since the 'fork' is a different color I wonder if that is the case and somehow the broken tail piece also stayed on.

2. It might be an old specimen if the above is true. Because the fork or break is so far down the tail.

In either case: creepy!

I wish I was in tijuana eating bbq'ed iguana.

the other white meat!

tastes like chicken?

I once asked my wife if you ate a pelican would it taste like chicken or fish? She in turn asked me..."When you eat a cow does it taste like grass?" Sometimes she can be such a smart ___!

Which island are you on, Curacao? I remember diving in Bonaire and the island was full of those critters. Iguanas and flamingos. Oh, and goats.

Rotor tail, just wind him up and watch him go!
