off a light pole civil war?

Found this tag at a civil war camp. I think its a light pole marker.

You don't give a location, but there are a lot of C---- Valley Electric Co. around the SouthEast US who would possibly have set utility poles. But if it's off a utility pole that would make it no earlier than 1880.

Maybe it came of one of those rare CW electric refrigerators in the camp. Like Charlie says, electricity wasn't really used in the 1860s, but your find is a good example of things that are found at a given site that are newer than other things on the same site and are not necessarily related to the site.

Yea man I just didn't know. I was thinking electric company it was just an odd find buttons bullets 1800s coins then that lol. I live in Pennsylvania. Thanks for you help guys
