Seems like a cool find. The article doesn't mention a tight date for when it sank, but it's most likely mid-18th century. The story is also in the summer issue of Wreckwatch Magazine, a publication I have never heard of but looks pretty swashbuckly on their website. One pic in the article of some standard ship stuff, but there are also a couple of YouTube videos embedded, one from Wreckwatch Magazine that pimps their focus on pirates. Like I said, pretty swashbuckly stuff, but interesting nonetheless:
