Evening hunt out in King George, Virginia! 19th century home site that was destroyed in the 1900s along with a union and confederate camp before the union occupied the area I was hunting. Dug half of a bayonet, a lock to a door and just several other pieces of iron relics. Friend of mine dug a sharps bullet.

Yep. will get around to it. I'd rather be cleaning off a nice button or plate though ; ) but will be able to give this property another shot maybe tomorrow or next week.
 

Ah you Virginians are so spoiled(she says tongue in cheek) Good luck in finding a nice plate or rare button.i would give my eye teeth to dig there.
 

Well let me know if you and your husband (or boyfriend) ever come up this way. I got plenty of spots just like this. You may dig early 1900s and modern junk for an hour or two before you score something good in spots like these... Plan on doing some hut digging this weekend so hopefully my luck will be good.
