Odds and Ends I have found but can't identify

Somethings I have found with my MD, and really have no clue as to what some of them are. Wondered if some of you folks might be able to help me out. #1 heavy metal with notches cut on each end, but one end has been broken.
#2 wondered if this might be a colonial flat button, has no markings front or back
#3 no clue, heavy, about the size of a shotgun shell end, always figured that's what they were
#4 pitted metal ball
#5 metal strip with slots of varying lengths
#6 No idea but found a lot of them
#7 belt buckle with sliding clasp which has "Pat. 12.25.06" printed on it, if that is the date then I am embarrassed!
#8 think this is a watch/clock part
#9 Has an eagle symbol in the center, the words "ANIMO ET FIDE" printed around the edge, and a D at the bottombelow the eagle. Also has in very small print on the back, "Meyer New York"

I found it in the yard of a WW1 veteran, who had passed on, and his old homeplace was abandoned. Would that even be the right time frame? Thanks for the picture of the new one!

If I remember correctly, the motto (Amino Et Fide) was added to the crest in the early 1920's, though I don't think they saw any combat in WWI. Perhaps a better historian can shed more light.

Could No 8 have had a counterpart out there somewhere that completes it and that was once given to the sweetheart (or co-conspirator) of this one's former owner?... Can't figure out though what it depicts...

#8 looks like the inner part of an old pocket watch.

How old might it be? Sorry about the pics, it was my first attempt at this.

Number 6 could be Loading Clips for WW1 or WW2 Ammo. They held together one load of bullets.

Edit: Havent seen the other Post about Number six before. Dont know how these reeds look like so maybe your right.
