some store owners/ or other merchants would
counter stamp copper coins - usually worn ones so that they could be used
and accepted at their business - plus it is a cheap way of advertising
yours could be one of those or could be some guy playing with
a die press
some counter stamps can be very collectable

Probably a Geo Halfpenny. Lots of 'H' s on both sides, although something different in the middle of 1 side. Looks more like someone practicing than a normal shop counterstamped piece.
