Hit this one today while swinging in an extremely difficult and trashy park. I'm really surprised no one else had found this. It was fairly deep, but it sounded like a copper penny. Was about 7 inches. I thought it was gonna be a wheatie. "Vanak corp" it says, with pat pending in the middle on one side. Sorta looked around for some info online. Common consensus is that it's a gaming token of some sort. Mid 30's vintage, evidently. Pretty cool! Thanks for looking.

Edit: After reading patent information graciously provided by Mackaydon, I have learned that this is actually a "slug" to test coin operated machines. It is of a slightly different size than what would be be required by the machine, and therefore would be used to test the accuracy of the accept/reject functionality.
