Had a birthday party for my oldest son today. The father of one of his friends noticed I was looking at metal detectors on the computer. It really peaked his interest. He told me about alot of places "we" could go detect. His father has been detecting for years and he is now going to buy a new whites. There had to be 30 or 40 new places we discussed detecting. I am buying my detector next week and he will be buying his soon after that. we should be able to make some good finds and have tons of fun in the process.

PAmike, It sounds like you two guys hit it off. It is great to have a partner to hunt with and gives you the opportunity for friendly competition and lots of good ideas on where to search. Let us know once you guys get your detectors and start hunting. Jim Cal

It happens that this guy is one of my best friends. we are always talking trapping and fishing together and neither of us knew about the others interest in treasure hunting.

Now that you have more places to hunt PAMike, can just hear you're wife now. "What do you think you're putting in my dishwasher to soak as you say honey the guys of treasurenet says Cascade is the best thing to get the tarnish off! ;D HAHA

me and my new treasure hunting buddy have been talking alot about sites and going over old maps. we have figured out at least 100 sites to detect. I also got him interested in the Ace 250, he is going to wait until I get mine to decide whitch detector to get.

Finding someone new to hunt with always opens up new places and new conversation.
I've only been on this site a short time but Mon. me and "nitro " will be hitting some old springs and I hope 1 old house with a carrage house still standing .On Monday.
The trees are turning green and the grass is growing here in C. Texas so man its time to hunt for that elusive gold coin I have yet to find.I'll be sure to post it when I find it come Tue. :D

HH Yall and if you get this way then give me a holler and lets go hunting.

this site has been a blessing for many of us with cabin fever! i met a few peeps on here and look foward to hunting with them this summer. or when it gets here anyway...mor snow for tommorrow....ugh!.....serb

Well myself and Nitro went hunting Monday and had a great time.
Only found a few wheatys and quite a few clad and was able to buy a coke at the end of the day. :D

Today I hunted about 3 hrs and found a box of nails..... ??? wonder if it had to do with something I asked about brass welding rods in another post? ???

I wish I could get you all that are above the freeze line down here for a few days of hunting but I don't think I could afford the plane far for all the takers I would have on that one.

Well give me a holler if any of you get down this way and I know I can line up an old homestead or 2 to hunt a few day and I hope you can do the same if I end up going north ...When it gets a lot warmer there.... :D

HH y'all and keep doing some research for the best place to hunt until it warms up.
