Maybe it's from a hip-hop music festival in Senegal. Or maybe not. Proper ID hinges on somebody being able to read the words at the top and bottom of the front side.

My first thought after seeing the characters looks like the kind of lettering on Israeli coins. Hebrew maybe?

Festin is another word for fiesta, which means party in Spanish. The Festin brand was originally launched in year 2000as a liquefied jelly in five flavours. It was a brand name (in Mexico) for a packaged fruit drink product--though I have no idea if it relates to this token.

Festin also means feast in french and there is also a bakery by that name.

Its a game token. The writting above the word FESTIN and below it is Japanese, and says.......you guessed it........Festin.

I believe you got it Jadish.
I sent a quick e-mail to a fellow that has a runs a token website. Here's his reply:

I haven't seen this token before, but I'm pretty sure that it is an
Asian pachinko token. Pachinko (spelled variously) is a sort of
pinball-style game played a lot in Asia, especially Japan, and there
are a lot of tokens made for it. Many of these tokens have fairly
cryptic designs, often but not always including some Asian
characters. The token is modern and (as far as I know) only of
nominal value, but a neat find!
