image.jpegI know this is a long shot but I was wondering if there was any experts out there to help identify these stone carvings. Thanks!

Where was this sign found geographically?

There are some experts that may be able to assist your concern.

Just an FYI, many sign identifications, Native American, Explorer, hunter or whoever, go unanswered.

And not all signs are universal from region to another.

As it happens, I had a mountain home above Palm Springs CA where Native American signs were inscribed onto several granite outcrops...the meaning of which has never been found...They were recorded in the mid-1850's when the timber was harvested...local Museum has a pictorial display...but no clues...

Lets hope that you get some positive results...

Thanks, these were found a little south of Louisville ky. I have a few more pics one with an Indian head carved.

Am I seeing a 1771 date?

Having a problem with the Indian head...looks sorta cartoonish...can you Photoshop enhance?

Do you still have access to the site...if so you might chalk the graphics and refoto...

Sometimes settlers, travelers would mark a trail with a date and their name or initials.

The date is 1774 it's written at 2 different locations at this site. I will try to get this enhanced. Thanks again

Found this after doing research online.

Looks like Sgt. Snorkel .....
