sister thought it may have held a coin as well. i searched the hole and dug larger, but still didnt find anything.

sounds like silver when i drop it on the table


seems like it was built too well for fishing lol.

btw it also appears to be two pieces soldered together

Well with the 2 grooves it was meant to hold something like a coin or something similar. Also the eagle hallmark went away around 1979 according to this site (Link below) if you can read the numbers you can tell which city is was made in. Yours looks like the second style which was used from the 1955 until the late 60's early 70's.

it would make sense to be from the 50-60's the property i found it on was developed around a hundred years ago.

found another hallmark listed as AVANTIthat looks near exact, darn language barrier, searching online is difficult lol.

Avanti is italian I believe, not spanish. Also ffuries said 1960's-1970's too.
