This thing is odd. I almost feel like I should know what it is, but I don't. Found Saturday in Central Virginia, there was also a ca 1900 store on the same property. It is made of pewter or another kind of white metal. It has a round top, partially flattened on a side. Has two pins on the top. Looks like two pieces put together, and on the bottom is what's left of an iron pin in the middle. Thought CW fuse at first, but I can't find a match. Also was a little reminiscent of an old top to a fuel can, but it's not exactly the same. Measures 1.5" across the top and 2" tall overall. I am assuming the "top" is the rounded part with the two pins on it.
