Last hunt in Framingham MA. Found some interesting items today.. Looking for identification for some and age for others.

Found this interesting lead bullet looking item. It is made of lead and is symmetrically concave on both sides. Any idea what this thing is?:

Tiny brass item with screw socket on end:

Looks like 2 steel buttons. Any idea how old they might be?

This is one HUGE horseshoe. What type of horse might it have been for?:

Wish these where whole.. found one with top still attached, one with top off and one with the stopper only. Any idea what they were used for and how old?:

Thanks!

The tiny brass object is a pocketwatch winding-key, missing the key-shaped part. That type dates from prior to about 1870, by which time the superior "stem-winding" watches had taken over the market.

I am most interested in what the lead item is. It has the white coating just like an old bullet. Any ideas?

Thank you..

those bottle tops with the line thru the top of the cork and looks like lead balls attached to it , reminds me of story i read and i wish i had more detail and maybe some of the experts here will confirm this.

i read that they had small glass bottles they used to send messages that were weighted with lead so if the messenger was caught he could throw it in the nearest water hole and it would sink . i would love to hear if this is true ? and if it is maybe those bottom pictures are of the tops of those types of message bottles.
