Found this flat button today and I am looking for help with identification and approximate age. About the size of a modern nickel. Was found at a 1830s site in Ohio. Thanks in advance!!!

Pretty neat, I wonder if it originally had those filagree openings or are they just worn through from being thin?

I would about say with 100% certainty that they corroded that way
 

Nice pressed copper figural button, although 1 piece these are late 19th C (last qrter).
Cool, not seen that design that is telling a lost story (or maybe the researchers will find it)
