So got out a little while this morning before the rain started, and went back to the field that produced the Indian hood emblem that DD-777 identified and found a couple of nice relics nothing civil war but a few nice pieces and one in-particular. About 2 hours into the hunt got some more harmonica reeds, maybe a part of a utensil, some odd and end copper thing's, no date buffalo nickel, some weird looking button thats about the size of an acorn and a Plate: that reads (JOHN FLANAGAN BUGGY CO. GREENVILLE NC) I found the 1st piece and was wishing I could find the other half and sure enough about 50 feet away I got the other piece, So I did some research and this is what I found:
John Flanagan Buggy Company, Greenville (1866 - 1914+) — This concern constructed quality vehicles, comprising carriages, phaetons, surreys and runabouts, both steel and rubber-tired (in later years). Apparently, Flanagan bought an existing carriage factory in October 1883. The company became an auto dealer and continued in business.
This is one of the coolest relics that I have found yet, Keep swingin and Happy Hunting all.
