Odd find and ? chunk of lead

Found these while hunting new site. Any help with id would be appreciated. Could be from rev/civil war era. Both are non magnetic


Alson found this chunk of lead. Is this how it was carried for later use in the "field"?

On the first pic.. Did you take a pic of the back too? Second one of the "lead" it seems to shiny from the photo to be lead.

2nd pic is the back. The lead is Shiny when I scraped some of the white coating off. Could be compact. thanks for replys
