The symbols are similar to those used on the Pakistan flag

Yep, SS is right. The symbol of a crescent moon holding a non-crossing five-pointed is a symbol for Islam for today, but your pendant may be older and represent the 'going thing' for that era.

It could also be a gang symbol because the Vice Lords Nation symbol is a cresent moon with a five pointed star in it.

Almost look like a combination of the two symbols :icon_scratch:

The celtic pic posted is upside down and star positioned different angle. It does however have the cut out in the star.

The Islamic pics posted have the crescent moon angled.

I'm leaning towards masonic or other :dontknow:

Neat find Moe :icon_thumright:

Fantasy Celtic. You will find nothing Iron Age like this. They used the Crecent moon, & they used knot work (generally, not together) but thats about it.

Thanks for the responses.

I have not been able to find an exact match which leads to believe that this one is older.

I agree that it may be of masonic purpose.

Not a match but it does show another example of a Masonic crescent moon and star. Like IS said, Islam has the crescent moon angled.
