This is made of some sort of white metal and has a brass or bronze bushing in the center. There is a small boss on the outer surface with a hole in it. The hole doesn't go all the way through and isn't threaded....at least not now. I don't see any sort of oil or grease passage for lubrication anywhere and no evidence of wear in the bushing either. The bushing has a lip on one side which indicates it's been pressed in from one side only. This thing looks a lot like the small end of an engine connecting rod, but obviously isn't. I see no substantial way of attaching it to anything, and with that size bushing, it would need to be, if it's going to handle any kind of weight or stress. Something decorative? Support for a towel rack?
