Odd beads all over the place

This has nothing to do with metal detecting:
wondering what these beads are.
They are ALL over the place, on my street, on other streets in my town,
in my back yard, front yard. Folsom, CA.

I am working on 3 different possibilities
1. Some kind of lawn fertilizer
2. Kids candy, or possibly toy gun ammo
3. Aerial spraying pesticide.

I dunno!

they are air soft pellets for the toy guns that shoot plastic balls for ammo at high speeds and man they hurt i shoot air soft in tournaments

Unless I am mistaken those beads come from inside certain types of disposable lighters. We have found a bunch of them in our hunts especially in local parks.

It's just battery, spring, air, or gas powered guns (most are fully automatic) that shoot those little plastic BB's EVERYWHERE!!! Ha, ha...
They're pretty much impossible to retrieve them all. If you watch closely, you may see the kids in your neighborhood or town shooting them at each other.

Umm, chances are your neighbors right next door have kids that play with them... and when you play, the BB's tend to get shot everywhere, and usually land even in the most unlikely of places. Just think if you were shooting one and it was fully automatic... it's kinda hard not to want to just shoot them all over. I know I have. lol!

It'd actually be hilarious to get an Airsoft sniper rifle and "take out" those kids when they start playing... from far, far away.
I know I'd laugh pretty hard!!

you could just measure them. If they are 6mm then they are airsoft pellets. If not, look elsewhere.
