I've managed to find the following with a google search:

http://www.artistssignatures.com/contact.php

Can't really find out anything about him as an artist (value, etc), only him as an author.

I did call the number in Philly and left a message. I'm going to send my hubby down this week (if they call back) to get more info on the item.

The piece itself is acrylic/plexi-glass with an apple attached to a motor. I haven't plugged it in. Afraid it could be worth quite a bit and my luck, it would catch on fire and melt. LOL

What do you think?

Well it's dated 4/71 so we know it isn't a play on Apple computers. I hope you learn something about it. It's funny that he has art in 40 museums and the only thing I can find is an American Flag piece.

Maybe he had The Beatles, Apple Records on his mind. ???

I know. Too crazy. I'm hoping they call me back tomorrow. I also hope he's still alive and can personally tell me about the piece. I'm feeling extremely nostalgic lately, since losing my grandfather.
