You couldn't ask for a better day than today for a group hunt. A beautiful day with lots of sun, great food (and that's no understatement! Goio and Bomber, you're the best), great people, oh, and also metal detecting, lol. Days like today remind me why I'm into this hobby. It's not just for the coins and relics and whatnot, it's about getting outdoors with great people who share your nerdy passion. Today I got to meet a lot of guys I never met before. Makton, Wasabi, Mikewaz, and the Rootmaster clan, and everyone else. Also great to see the regulars, TreasureFiend, Bomber, Murph, LowBatts, Goio, Tman, etc etc etc...It was good to see Ron Shore show up, what a generous guy. We all found something today, not necessarily metal detecting. Great raffle! Thanks to everyone for showing up for making this the best group get-together so far.

Found metal detecting: 1943 P, 1943 S war nickels, 1951 D wheat.

Yea it was a blast!!!! Thanks everybody for all the great food and prizes!!!
We have to get together and do this again!!! Awesome time and the best part was that we now have a newbee that just won his first metal detector, a Garrett Ace 250 courtesy of THE MAN - RON SHORE!!!!

If you are looking to buy a detector or some equipment check with Ron at http://www.windycitydetectors.com/
Awesome guy and he is local!!!!

Had a lot of fun yesterday!
I've never met any of you till yesterday but felt like I knew you all for years. What a great bunch of guys.
Thanks for a great time!

Mike,

I had a good time chatting with you. If and when you plan on hitting that big park by you, let me know and I'll join you. I'll do the same when I'm planning on heading over there.
