Lost Ring Ocean City, MD VIC 91st street
By:Erik Earley
Location: Ocean City, Maryland--In the surf high tide directly east of the Princess Royal Hotel section between 91st street and 92nd street. At ~ 2-3PM on Weds 6-18-14, I was in knee to waist high surf when a roller came up and slammed me into the surf and dislodged my wedding band. Although, I feel that this ring will probably never return to me, I thought it worth the time to post and hopefully a miracle will happen. There also was an inscription on the inside of the ring that said, "Forever your shorty".

That's awesome, nice job! I'm sure the guy was ecstatic :occasion14:

Thank You, he was very happy and driving back to OC this coming Saturday (28) to pick it up, should be able to get a picture. Main thing is I think it was his wedding ring, and it will be back where it belongs.....Joe

Few more hunts from this weekend

I am glad to see that the ring found it's home, but I have to tell you this event that happened to me.

I was on the beech at OC, about 2 streets north of the pier. I got a good signal near the surf line. I scooped it up and saw a heavy wedding band. A young guy walked up and said ,"I see you found my wedding band." I held it up for a close examination and said to him, maybe! Just tell me the inscription in the band and it is yours. He turned around and walked away. Actually, there was no inscription. I wonder how many rings he got that way? Frank...-

Very Good move on the ID question. OC has not been bad for me, I've only had one similar claim over the years. Most of the time I will walk away from the area with the ring in the scoop then quickly slip it into my pouch if there are people around. If someone post about a lost ring and they have a defined description of the ID inside I have no problem returning, We have another ring return on the boardwalk in OC this coming Sunday the 13th of July at 10am.

Bleak today but my buddy Scott is down for a few days and scored a few nice looking rings

Things are looking better, big slope, which I do like. Keeps the people closer to shore....and the water is 71...

Best part of the hunt, the two dead I Phones (Money in the Bank)... And the heavy 10k ER, heavier then most women's rings...

Nice finds. I hope I will be able to find something while I'm down here. Got here today
