OBN was kind enough to invite me to one of his spots for a 2nd try at some water hunting today. I went, even though
I knew it was going to be exceptionally windy! Especially on this shore. I was just foolish enough to think I would
be able to handle white caps on the bay, after ALL these years and on only my 2nd trip out! LAUGH!!!!

I lasted 1 hour! and I found these two:

Not as pretty a nickel as I got yesterday, huh.

But that's not why he's gonna kill me! ;)

On the way back to the car....yep! I was only carrying all my equipment.
I mean and JUST barely!! I had my head down partially out of habit but
mostly, out of pure exhaustion! :(

I saw this partially sticking out of the muddy trail.

No detecting. Just an eyeball find. Funny though, as soon as I picked it up
I wasn't tired anymore. LOL

It's not gold nor silver. Not even marked but it looks like stainless.
Still...

LOL

Thanks for peeking and thanks to you OBN for thinking of me!

Good job spotting the ring! Just about my best find ever was an eyeball find. Water equipment is a bit different from dirt, isn't it? Treblehunter was showing me his scoop. Man that thing was heavy!

Well, out of the water it might be but the water helps. Still, it's just SOOOO cumbersome! A detector, a wetsuit, the scoop, the screen, the tethers! I forgot just how young I was the last I used this stuff!
But, most of the problem today was the wind. I mean white caps? On the Bay!!?!? Yikes!

Your forgive Buddy, Sure beats the quarter I nailed returning after 4 plus hours of getting Hammered...It was fairly ruff today but once I was out there for a while I adjust to the conditions. Did catch a couple over the heads..I just wished it was calmer so you could have got in more time. That area you were hunting is trashy big time and you pulled a Nickel out of there...Amazing. then the walk back to the truck.. I guess the old saying goes... Nothing gets past Eagle four eyes..

Ha, nice job Gary.

That scoop don't weigh much when I get in neck deep water.

Congrats! Nice finds!
Blingie and Fishy weren't there to help carry the equipment back to the car? Now your letting them slide!

May take a while to build up your stamina for water hunting.

Oh no! There ain't no way I'm taking them two out in the field! Can you imagine !? ;)

But, I was out there for about 4 hours on the first hunt we did. It was just those white caps
was just too much!
