With all of the mythical and fairy tale rhetoric constantly being stated about Oak Island, here's a place to post actual, proven, information. Whether it be relic finds, documentation references concerning actual digs, etc., if the information is based on true, empirical facts, present it here.

Perhaps in examining the actual facts without fictional references, etc., perhaps the real truth about Oak Island (mysterious treasure or not) can be surmised...

I believe the story but do not believe that the brothers recover any treasures that is there because of water problems.

Not too sure about this one season tho ... With the death of Drake and Craig pulling out for the rest of the year (to be with and help to console his wife)-very seldom see Dan anymore and Dave. Who knows ? Maybe they will find the lost Shakespeare books and a crap load of gold, silver and the holy Grail. No one knows except the Shadow and he knows all :-)

Oak Island is a bit of land. And land is the source of great riches.

As Gerald O'Hara said in Gone with the Wind:

Do you mean to tell me, Katie Scarlett O'Hara, that Tara, that land, doesn't mean anything to you? Why, land is the only thing in the world worth workin' for, worth fightin' for, worth dyin' for, because it's the only thing that lasts.

And these bozos are just pawing at it and poking holes in it instead of planting or using the soil for it's true value.

Fools.

The could have at least brought some chickens to range around.

Thanks for posting!

The confirmed items are just common items with no meaningful significance to a mysterious treasure.

The reported items along with the tales are the made up rhetoric that we continue to hear about today.

Please post referencing only actual evidence that has been found.
It is noteworthy that on that persons list the only 2 things that even relate to treasure being on Oak Island are the 3 original guys, the descendants claim (That those three got some treasure) and the claim that one of those three actually had a map. Both of these come as tales on the list (Unsubstantiated claims). All the other things weather documented or imagined DO NOT relate to actual treasure being on oak Island. They are just stuff. That in there own right mean nothing (treasure related). The MOST that is shown is that people have been coming to oak Island for a few hundred years.

Nothing even reported to be found supports a large treasure being buried there. It is not even that people are making stuff up. It is amazing how little evidence of anything has been found with all the searching in the last 200+ Years.

If you found a treasure, would you report it or tell anybody that you couldn't trust?
Any and Everyone would try to lay claim to your find...
Even the investors would have reason not to report it... (TAXES)

This actual news clipping from a link on the site gazzahk provided shows that even in 1861 the oak island mystery was believed to be a hoax.

The mystery itself isn't a hoax, based on items retrieved from great depths during the current show series. Virtually nothing unusual is found at the upper layers, while everything seems to lie at 150 feet and below. That makes it hard to argue that all the lower layers are just backfill from Dunfield's big dig - archaeological items such as bones, etc would be distributed over a larger area.

Actual classic treasure such as precious metal is another thing.

Sounds Like...Joe Friday...“All we want are the facts, ma'am”

Remember that virtually the entire area has been dug down to great depths over the years (in the article I posted it mentions 126 feet way back in 1861). With the vast number of deep digs along with the holes being filled in by scraping whatever was lying on the surface with the dirt, the ground is full of garbage placed there over the last 200 years+.

What if I told You...All Your Facts are Wrong!

Obviously you cannot provide any actual data to back up claims of treasure, historical figure burials, or anything else on oak island.

This thread is for facts proving/disproving the oak island quandary....
