Hi all.Got out for a quick hunt this morning to a site that I recently found on an 1856 map of my area here in NY.So far I've found about a dozen or more old flat buttons, two Conn. coppers and a king George and a standing liberty quarter at this site. The button I found today looks like a Ny milita button but the eagle looks diferent than the ones I found online. The backmark is "extra guilt" any info on the button would be appretiated. Thanks all.

Thanks y'all. A NY button has been on my wish list for some time. When I lived in Va years ago I found a VA button and have wanted a NY one ever since.

Thanks Kirk. So far this year I have about a dozen large coppers.two are Conn. coppers and one King George, couple two or three draped bust's and the rest braided hair or coronet type.I posted some of the coppers in the whats it thread....but my best find was a seated and barber half in the same hole as a seated dime.Posted that in todays finds on memorial day. have a good one bud and good luck !
