Nugget Hunting Results - Question for you prospectors

Finding a little hear and there. Been getting deeper in dept for two years now and theres always new ways to find more faster. It's not so much the quanity of what I find as much as the quality, the quality time spent with my wife, kids, and new friend we found in this hobby. To see there eyes light up and the smiles on there faces to see that flash in the pan. The moments spent looking over a streem and discussing where they think we should dredge first. sitting on the bank and telling stories anbout the nugget (.6 grams) he picked out of the bedrock befor it got sucked up buy the nozzle.
To ancer your question I've not broke even in dollar value buy a long shot but I'd spend just as much money going to a good amusment park and have nothing but memories. all of us take a lot of pride in being able to show off that little gold to everyone we can show it to. Josh has taken his to school several times for history class. If we get in a good 3 day weekend of prospecting in Va. we have come home with 2 or 3 grams of small sluiceing gold and a small nugget or two that you can pick up with your fingers. there's always the posability of a big nugget but the value I've found is we all injoy doing it togather.
There's a lot more to be found out where you are at then back east hear. If you ask around theres probly plases you can go localy within a few miles from town.

There is no average, therefore your question is impossible to answer.I could go out tommorrow and find a pound or a penney and you must learn to be satisfied with each and the thrill of the hunt.Tons a au 2 u all-John :D

Hey John (Hoser)!

Hope those 12 1/2 wks go by fast for ya pardner! I'll be thinkin bout' cha!

Can you gimme some advise? Keene says a fulla should put a 40 micron
particle filter in the airline at the output of the reserve tank...is this necessary? Do you use a particle filter? Is this a whacko idea or what?
I know there is a filter right on my T80, but keene says this is an extra
one that goes in-line with your regulator.

Also, how high does a snorkle extention for a t80 have to be to eliminate any chance of Co2 gettin in yer lungs? (I'm building one - don't know how
long to make it????)

Thanks for all the great help you give on ALL the forums.

Thanx for the concern. I,and my many buds ,don't use those filters BUT after my reserve tank I have a oil filter to catch any water that condenses in the reserve tank,When your dredging 40+ hours a week as i do you get at least a quart of water outta your reserve!! Much more worried about water than air quality.Once it's pressureized in the reserve anything in it drops out except some water.I clean my reserve with 25% bleach every month during dredge season to prevent mold also, just put in a cup and shake for a couple a minutes. It does take several rinsing and a drop a soap to freshen but taking care of your lungs is pretty dang important!!Hope you guys kick some butt this year!!I'm living vicariously thru my many friends adventures this year but at least I stand a 72% chance of seeing XMAS-Tons a au 2 u all-John
