Now it's called Spectra V³

Due to a Registered Trademark situation, White's Electronics has announced the changing of the Vision name to Spectra V³

It look to me as if they jumped the gun getting this detector out on the market. heard the DD coil won't work on it now the name whats next. I know one thing I was trying to scrape up the money to buy one I'll be waiting 6mo to a year to buy one now for sure

Re: Now it's called Spectra V³

Geez...does that mean mines a classic already? Or will the trademark police come after me and confiscate it?

Seriously...check local dealers...that's how I got mine 3 weeks ago.

As for the DD not working....I ordered the 4x6 shooter and the guy at White's tried it before shipping it...and it didn't work on the VISION. Maybe it will work on the V3...lol

I ordered the 5.3 concentric and emailed whites headquarters 3 days ago about the dd shooter not working. Haven't got a reply yet.

Re: Now it's called Spectra V³

I don't know. I have been swinging an MXT for 7 years now and have not found another detector I would give it up for, untill now, MAYBE. I am waiting out the hype and bugs. But from all the YouTube videos I have watched, this detector might just do it. I figure by the time I save up the cash any bugs like the volume, coil and whatever else may pop up will have been worked out.

And there are many more.

Well you better hide it under the bed so the trademark police don't confiscate it and put you in jail haha ;D all kidding aside you may need to put it up it might be worth money some day. As far as the deal with the coil It goes back to what I said you would think that before White's put something on the market that they would have done some testing to know what works and what don't and to give us some good data so we could use it in deciding if we wanted to buy one or not plus if I heard right that the owners manual wasn't even ready. I still think I'm going to wait to buy one to see if there any more surprises and I would like to see some more concrete data.
