I am relatively new to this hobby and was wondering if there were any enthusiasts in Nova Scotia. I am in the Annapolis Valley but am willing to travel great distances to detect. Hope to hear from someone...
I am located centrally in Nova Scotia, about an hour north west of Halifax. It would be an easy jaunt to Halifax for the hobby.
I tried a popular beach yesterday (Risser's Beach) and only got 15 cents in clad for two hours effort. I then went to a playground and picked up $2.66 in clad. While coin and jewelley hunting is fun and good practice my main interest is relics. This area is rich in history and metal detecting really doesn't exist here. I live in the area where the English and French war was fought as well as where the Acadians were expelled from.
I am looking for a few leads on some old Acadian homesteads and will detect there, with permission of course.
