Nov 12 & 13th finds
These are finds I made at a wildlife preserve in town here. The nickels were about a half foot apart , the V nickel was just under the leaves and the buffalo was about 3 inches down next to a log. The pin fell off the horse pin when I was cleaning it. I found the 1/2 gallon mason jar down about 4 inches, it took quite a while to dig it up, the corroded lid was still on it and the contents were still in it(dried out) so I poked the top of the lid out and holy cow what a smell, it all poured right out though and it cleaned up nice. I think the buffalo probably looked uncirculated when it was lost. Anyone remember the old collapsing drinking cups for camping, it's the first one I've ever found. The rumor is that Girl Scouts camped on the preserve years back.
