I'm sitting here in Illinois at noon and it has just now hit 4 degrees. I'd go detecting but I'm fresh out of dynamite for digging my finds. So I dipped into my "FINDS" jar and took a few pictures. The first picture is a neat little copper braeclet with ivory or bone inlets. The next one is just strange. It is a stone studded Jimmy Durante pin. Anyone ever seen one of these? Who would wear this? ??? Next is my oldest find. An 1876 seated liberty dime found in a "hunted out school yard at 6 inches. The last picture are of cut Spanish pieces that I'm pretty sure are reproductions since I found them on the grounds of a historical re-enactment site. However, this site is within a couple hundred yards of the site of Fort Sackville in Vincennes, IN that was captured by George Rogers Clark during the revolution. Vincennes was founded in the very early 1700's. So, I guess it's possible they are real. Still doubt it though.

Is that Jimmy Duranty?

Neat finds. I find that a propane touch works good for thawing ground out so as to dig the find up
