That's a nice heavy rack. Hope you brought it home to clean up. It shouldn't smell too bad, being cooler weather. Almost every winter I find dead buck, I'm assuming someone not following up after shooting to see if they hit it. Not bashing hunters, I hunt.

Here is something I spotted Tuesday morning just about a mile from home, on my way to detect at an old school and grounds turned into a park. I was shocked to see this just about 3-4 feet from the road near an elementary school and did a quick turn around to get a pic. No sign of a hit by an auto, no skid marks, no blood. Quite likely it was poached for the tail dumped there. Because I know some like to see something for a size reference I stuck my size 11 in , It was a biggun. Now picture it without the tail cut off. We do find some strange things out there pursuing this hobby.

On second thought....It does appear to have 3 broken ribs so I'm assuming it was hit by a car of or shot.
