Hi all, dug this at an old homesite that dates around 1870. I was thinking s skinning tool but I've never seen one.[

It's a log dog, I believe. (Pound it in a log and then fasten a rope or chain for hauling.)

Make since for the area used to have a big logging industry.

I dont know all the applications of these tools, but alot of them are found in rivers where they were drove into logs for floating and rafting . very nice relic. been hoping to find some myself.

That make perfect since because the logs were all floated out of the river through the bay to bigger ports.
This was a major loging area at one time.
