Detector(s) used
Garrett Ace 350
During a recent search around my 128 acre farm I got a hit on an item sitting on top of the ground. At first glance it looks like a rock but it is setting off my Garrett Ace 250 and is showing on the indicator silver (50 cent and $1 range at the far right of the indicator).

On a suggestion I soaked the item in white vinegar which dissolved a lot of the "rock" but I still can't see what is setting off the detector. Any suggestions what I can do? Or should I use something to break this open?

What is a "Hot Rock" for 50 ? Heard some people mention them before, might be an explanation =) Does a magnet stick to it? What color of streak does it leave on a white ceramic?

Looks like can stew (melted aluminum can) to me.
