✅ SOLVED Not Sure what it is?? Solved Ramrod Channel

Had a chance to get out yesterday, and came across this brass object that is 3 7/8" long, looks like a toy cannon. need help to id. Has a Roman numeral VI on bottom near the flared end.

I dont recall the proper name but that tube looks like it may be from a muzzleloading rifle. It resembles the channel for the ramrod.

Me dumb dumb. I just re-read your post and see that there are roman numerals. That is very common on ramrod channels...just not clear what they represent.

Been years since I've found one of them, but the smaller thimbles keep on coming... probably 6 in the last few years.

Really hard to say what it would have come from, you might get some idea of the era based on other relics found near it, but that might be the best you'll do.
