Found this under the cloths line from a house built in the 40's. It was beside a wheat penny and this other object i cant identify either...do you know what the button says or have an example of it (about the size of a quarter)?!?! I am trying to clean it up so it is more visible but its not going to well...

What letters you got so far? Is it a campaign button of some sort?.....POTEA?

the top word almost looks like amanda or something similar

anyone know around what time that style of snap or clasp was used on buttons? It looks like a campaign button maybe but I cant find any buttons with the same type of locking mechanism.
