Not sure if natural band mark around this rock?

I found this today in Sugar Creek in Indiana.What caught my attention is the band mark around the entire rock.Natural?

Sorry, natural erosion.
 

That’s a sedimentary rock. Layers were laid down over time and it turned to stone. It’s either sandstone or limestone.
Sugar Cr flows through Turkey Run State Park and it’s a beautiful waterway. I grew up near there and have been there many times.

Thank you so much for that info.Im from Greenfield.Im just now starting to explore Sugar Creek.It is absolutely gorgeous.Back to Blue River today.
