I know its slim but there is literally no where to hunt for good stuff!
Drove 180 miles looking for places but nothing much is happening out there (bad economy I guess).

No date Buff and a Silver War Nickel.

3 Wheats from the 40s

Some decent Marbles

A couple more bucks in change for Kane23s Klad Bucket.

The star of todays episode...a 63 Half, not old but it is Silver.

A Frankie Half is a great find, plumloko!

It's a harder coin to find than a Walker Half.

Absolutely. Even though there were slightly more Franklin Halfs minted than Walkers, the Frankies were easier, shallower targets for the detectorists of the 70's-80's. You could also say that since the Walkers were produced and were in circulation over a longer period of time, there was more time for people to lose them. That's why you see a lot more Walkers posted than Franklins.

About 498 million Franklin Half Dollars were struck during its 16 year series.
About 485 million Walkers were produced 25 different years from 1916 to 1947.
