This past Sunday turned out to be a strange day of metal detecting.......It started out as a clear blue sky but after the first hour and a half, the sky started to release her rath........Nothing but drizzle and rain, and it rained and it rained some more. The first hour was all that we needed at least to find a cellar hole from the early to mid 1800's. Tim , Jeff and I had just enough time to dig a couple of nice keepers , Tim found his first large cent in quite some time a very nice 1835 in great shape. Jeff found a few spoon pieces as well as some iron objects. The buttons I found are all the same and came out of an area about 2 square feet and at different depths.
The flower button is one that I have not found , with no back marks it will be a challange to I.D.
It will go into the collection .......The site seems to be early , this weekend should make for an interesting day going back to where we left off.........Weather pending!!
Keep on Digging!
