Me and my girlfriend ask to detect a fairground today that dates back to 1876 - 1901, we got turned done immediately, we also asked about a house that dates back to 1866 turned down again. I am currently detecting a house that is around 200 years old, very beautiful stone house, there is about 30 acres to detect about 1/4 of it yard and 3/4 of it woods. I found the spring house and it is fairly big, and hard to detect.

I am using my MXT which I just got the other day, does anybody have any tips to give me. I am using the stock coil and the ground level reads about 50%. What mode is best for coins, and is silent mode a good way to look for coins.

Good finds. All I dug was three pennies--1959, 1964, and 1975.

Hey
try this site just scroll to the whites posts. I have a xlt and have seen some good info here. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

I would be sure and cover the path that leads to the outhouse from the back door. It's hard to say what got dropped on that path on the way to the outhouse with the pants coming down while running.
