Not Many Louisiana Hunters here.

I have the ATP and I just bought a Fisher F75 LTD with the Sun Ray FX-1 built in pin pointer yesterday. Went and played with it today at the lakefront in New Orleans and hit a 1918 Wheatie 7" down. So I'm really excited about learning this machine. I would love to go to a Cane field. My ATP is at Garrett getting fixed with BOTH of my Garrett pin pointers and I'm a total Virgin on this F75. Give me a little time and I'll be there with you. I have a very flexible schedule and I can metal detect 5 days a week....which I do. Lol

Hello to all my fellow Louisianan treasure hunters! I'm from Shreveport & assumed I was the only one around here digging in the dirt. I'd love to know what interesting things you guys have found in the area. :cat:

Finally joined!

I am S'port local too. Really been hooked since I found 1925 Mercury, several wheaties, old electric car parts, a Bernstein Bros tag dated Jan. 2014, WWI canteen stopper, gold locket at my office in an old 1901 Victorian. Found 1850 o seated half-time and my daughter found 1891 o Morgan dollar, same day surface finds in a cotton field! What else? 1892 Centavo, 3 Widows condom tin from 1920s.

My favorite is researching and learning about the local history and TN has been great for identifying odd items. MD'ing works like a slot machine, intermittent reinforcement! "Guess I should go home...ding...ding...ding...a 1960's Lincoln....okay, just a few more minutes" lol

I just wish I had a better detector and did NOT have my new nemesis aka rheumatoid arthritis. So much history, so little time!
