Re: not bad for a couple hours digging..

Nice points. You in Tennessee? If you'd rather not say, I understand. I went to a friend's house down near Center Hill lake a few years ago, and picked up 2 big display cases of points. Mostly broken (fresH :'( :'(). I have them here at my house, but don't know what kind they are.

Re: not bad for a couple hours digging..

Are from the same site you've been working the last few months? That's been a great site for you.

Ramjet - if you have artifacts you don't know much about, throw a picture up on a post and you should be able to get some info. Especially from an artifact intensive area as TN.

Re: not bad for a couple hours digging..

good stuff Tree ,as always!...I noticed you have been finding alot of articulate points lately, love the one in pic 5 along with the teardrop style point, great material too  BTW looks like the notch and shoulder tang on the point in pic 3 is purpose made that way.

Re: not bad for a couple hours digging..

Great Artifacts!! That material is like glass. Nice finds, and thanks for sharing!

Re: not bad for a couple hours digging..

went today with some help and came out with these nice points and another pestle. I also found a heartbreaker drill and one of the points is a nice used Benton I believe.
oh and a nice little small drill
3 hours of digging about 80 - 5gal buckets of dirt gone through.
