All Treasure Hunting
Last Fall I found a sterling silver celtic knot/dragon ring on the main campus where I work while detecting on my only day off. It was smashed, so I had to get it unbent and cleaned up. When I got it back my lady friend from FL saw it, and being of Irish/Scottish heritage she fell in love with it.....................
So of course it now graces her dainty finger...........
You would have thought it was worth a million dollars the way she shows it off and talks about it. Funny thing is, they sell them at Amazon.com for $13.95 + S&H.
But since it makes her happy I consider it one of my Best Finds!!!!

Nice find....and NEVER, NEVER show a ring to a woman and expect to be keeping it...although it's always nice to be able to put a smile on their face and keep them happy... :D

And don't tell her you can buy a new one for $13. Slante.

Thanks for the advice!!!
Her family is Irish/Scottish (McClure, of the clan McLeod) and mine is Scottish/German (was originally Hardman, of the clan Buchan).
When we come to visit the old country will you take us to some good detecting spots there DJ? If you want to visit MO or FL we'll return the favor............ ;D
I always saw it as 'Slainte' in Scottish?!? In German it is 'Gesundheit', but that's been ruined by all the sneezing :D :D :D

really nice story and yes a nice find but I think your friend is your best find I have seen since I been on board

Definitely a nice looking ring and a great find. It may not be worth a lot but as a gift it sure is priceless.
