While I was out at the lake over the weekend I had an all white damselfly (at least I think it is a damselfly) hanging around me. It would land on me every now and then. The pic is not the best, but can anyone ID the species of this guy? I cannot find any all white damselflies online to compare it against.

Thanks,
Doug

Cute bug! Perhaps try to search with the word "albino" instead of "all white".
All I was able to find for you is the bug guide. See if you can find one that matches it.
Could you have possibly found an albino one, with possibly a defective gene? In the wild, animals born albino or "different", usually don't last long.
Order Odonata - Dragonflies and Damselflies - BugGuide.Net

also check the zygoptera order, underneath the odonata.

Thanks for the replies. I "Googled" albino damselfly and found a couple of images that look like the one I saw, but there was no real description. I will keep looking. Thanks again everyone!
