Not a great day but i did find a few interesting things! A coin I'm familiar with!

Hit one of my permission today that has always given up at least 1 coin , today I found one I've not seen before it's about the size of a small cents. Also got a nice German mica marble the size of a nickel! It rang up on my D2 a 39 . It seems to large for a 3 cent piece .

Yep, three cent nickel, 1865 looks like. I've found three cent silvers but no nickel ones yet.

It seems to large for a 3 cent piece .

Three cent silver was 14mm diameter and three cent nickel was 17.9mm diameter. Yours looks possibly fire damaged. Cool find, certainly better than a lot of the junk to found where I live.

The crack looks like it is the result of differential expansion, such as could happen in a fire.
