not a bad hunt today

hey all,

me, my dad, and my great uncle went back to the Fire Creek Coal camp and din't get a bad haul. We found two wehaties (no dates, too corroded), a piece of scrip from a different mine coompany (burton coal & coal co. i think) and a United Mine Workers of America union pen or button. Pics up tomorrow after the cleaning is done.

correction on the scrip name. It appears to say "Pemberton Coal & Coke Co. Affinity store. 1 cent". Pemberton is near Coal City, WV and thats a good 45 mins away from here or more. The only thing I could find is the Affinity store No. 7 in Raleigh County. Pretty interesting how i found scrip from Pemberton Coal at Fire Creek Coal. My guess is a visitor lost it or a miner switched companies.
