Good advice Sean , I find them at places where otherdiggers have disc. them out .. 88 % copper / 12% nickel .. dig the pull tab signals for the first small cents is an accurate observation .. proud to say I have found one , actually { chance to boast} i have dug 11 flying eagles .. mostly 58's like yours , a two 57's in one hole at an old school built in 1819 and 8-- 1859 to 1864 early indianheads in my years detecting .. NO 1856 but hey what's ya gonna dooo try turning your disc OFF for some deep faint sounding coins . Many more !!Thanks for the kind words. They are both 1858. I was shocked when i rechecked the hole and heard the same signal.
They came up as pulltabs so dig those pulltab signsls or you will never find one
