Hey guys, new here. I'm posting a pic of a rock found in a Northwest indiana creek bed. Valparaiso Porter County area (Valparaiso Moraine), Devonian Age. I have found a lot of small fossil fragments (crinoids) and coral fossils in this creek. I have also found other oddities that could be common indian artifacts or nothing at all. The typical Indiana rocks & minerals are represented in this creek, Quartzite, Limestone, Chalcedony, Chert, etc. I found this large rock & I was hoping someone could help identify it. Sandy & gritty feeling, with small sparkles. It has raised rings around the entire piece.
