Ok, I couldn't stand it any longer. Crossing takes 10 min. Car and driver is $9, additional passengers are $2, motor homes are more and trucks are based on weight. At $1.50/token, my guess is: obsolete.

My only remaining question: Where in the he)) is North Ferry Co.? Just in case I want to make the 10 minute crossing.

I called the company and the tokens cost $2.00 each, so 19 tokens = $38 dollars. They will not buy the tokens back, so I am thinking about putting them on Craigslist NY for a discount. The ferry is in NY. :dontknow:

I only listened to the message--it was probably midnight if this ferry is in the east. So are they $2.00 tokens or what are they good for as far as value? They don't say "Good for one car" or "one passenger". Or are they just getting rid of 10,000 obsolete and no longer used tokens laying around the back room? And where is this place? I haven't the slightest idea. There are a lot of place names in New York, and I am sure, as many streams and islands.

Maybe your stash was the ill gotten gains of a daring daylight robbery. Now, if the robber was a rank amature, he probably did the deed after the ferry left the mainland but before it docked...........on the island. Ooops. Maybe he is still in prison.

?
Just google North Ferry Co Inc. and the web site will come up. Its a car ferry that takes people to a place in NY. The web site will tell you were they are located. I called and the tokens are for passengers and they cost $2.00 dollars a piece.

Well, that seems to dovetail together. $1.50 at auction is a better buy if you are going there every day. Too bad they don't say "Good for one passenger" or something like that. Since they won't buy them back, maybe you and a small party can take the ferry out and have a picnic. Or a small party. Don't forget your detector!!
