Need better pics of both sides, also try harsh lighting from the side to see if you can see more detail

I live in Ma. House was built in 1825. It is a stamped coin and off center. Can make out what looks like a U L F T possibly and aroundan LIO possibly. Other side is completely worn tho. I know it isnt worth anything but is very cool for me. Haha

In the second set of photos, the one on the right is showing some lettering at 9/11 o'clock, and a faint letter at 2 o'clock.

I like how I searched for info on a find and was led to this site!

Welcome, LNGIV, and congratulations! How exciting for you to find this coin!

Seeing the letters ET in the upper left of the 2nd pic. Possibly Massachusetts/Connecticut state copper? Off the top of my head those both have ET on it somewhere....

Probably still need some better focused pictures to help, especially of the 2nd picture. then someone will likely be able to narrow it down.

Welcome to TNET!!!

The closest match I've found with so little details is this 1788 Connecticut Copper

1788 Connecticut Copper - Miller 15.1-L.1

Some may cringe, but I'd gently scrub it with warm water and a toothbrush to get the rest of the black junk off.

Nice work. I think that's a good potential match. I couldn't find one with the ET LIB so far apart.
