Noob in Germany

Hello!
Well I've always had a bit of an interest in metal detecting and I figure since I'm living in Germany I just can't pass up the opportunity! If anyone knows any good locations in Bavaria let me know! If I don't get any recommendations I'm just going to get a MD and start wandering around. I would really get a kick out of uncovering something from WWII

Welcome, from Grand Rapids Michigan. I don't know much about Bavaria, but I have been to Germany. It is a very old and beautiful area, there must be some great treasure hidden there somewhere, I'm sure of it. I was born in Iceland, I haven't been back since I was 18 years old, but now you have me wondering what I could find over there. Maybe some viking war axes? Lots of volcanic caves there too where the "outlaws" used to live (according to folk tales and local legends)(some of which are documented).
